Internally; Nurturing creative team culture, mentoring, managing people, team process and agency engagement points with the Design Team, new business pitches, and agency brand design projects for the Founder and CEO.     Fighting for the underdog – We started Dave for one reason: banks weren’t built for people like us, and we knew we deserved better. Like David slaying Goliath, we set out to take on banks and their predatory ways. Our first fight? Making overdraft fees a thing of the past by spotting members the money they needed, without charging them $38. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. Since then, we’ve continued to bring our members the products traditional banks won't: $500 advances, fee-free goal tracking, and simple ways to find Side Hustles when you’re behind on your budget. We’ve grown a lot since we started, but one thing has never changed: We’re building products that level the financial playing field.

    • Creative Lead and Designer, Art & Copy — In close collaboration with the Head of Design (Brand & Product), re-envisioning all aspects of the visual identity system, VIS-ID approaching an IPO.
    • Per a new brand strategy and tagline, and retaining some hertiage elements via the Founder, a meticulous approach and process was implemented weekly design reviews & sprints. Starting with comprehensive category color research, a subsequent competitive color strategy, new typography, design language, photography art direction, robust brand guidelines and design templates were written, created and regularly presented to the internal stakeholders Founder and the Executive Leadership Team and C suite.
    • The VIS-ID work influenced all new product design and design system thinking. Worked with the Product Design Leads on font testing, color accessibility, and tokenization of elements in Figma. The thinking was extended to all marketing channels; website, marketing, advertising, social, video, etc.
    • Executed strategic storytelling presentations for the Founder and the Executive Leadership Team, simplifying our process, and the visual story. Communicated with the Founder directly during the duration of the contract.

    • Creative Lead and Designer, Art & Copy — Founding member of newly created Creative Studio (15 Brand + Advertising creatives), developing a new visual identity system, VIS-ID. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, I was charged with leading the brand-side VIS-ID, alongside new advertising and activations, and day-to-day Design Team management.
    • Our task was to transform a high volume, performance and growth-based brand, rooted in eCommerce, moving to an authentic, experiential-based brand without interrupting conversion. Working closely with Marketing partners/sponsors, led the VIS-ID creative process rigorous 2.5 month sprint, project scheduling, creative resources, Executive and stakeholder presentations and associated production. Managed Creative Studio team members focused on marketing channels (performance ads, email, experiential/events) optimizing the VIS-ID creative into platforms for ads, early consumer testing validating the creative, and extending the design system into special programs, such as loyalty, interiors and events.
    • Supported the ECD with share-outs to all Department Heads, achieving buy in ahead of final creative presentation to the Brand President. Due to Covid, the approved VIS-ID brand guidelines were created, written and designed in two weeks over 100 pages of content.

Worked closely with Project & Studio Management to organize and assign projects week-to-week and coordinate large asset projects with Program Managers/Owners in Marketing.
