TradeGraph Data Platform
At Flexport, I led the organization responsible for creating the TradeGraph - a digital twin of the world of trade. It ingested data through integrations with 200+ external data sources, removed conflicts & duplicates, and persisted normalized and versioned data into a single-source-of-truth document repository. Finally, we exposed that "cleaned" data via REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs that were multitenant-aware to application developers, both internal to Flexport and external.
This data platform enabled the automation of all logistics processes, from booking & pricing to planning & routing. Over 60 teams internal to Flexport consumed our APIs, from the Visibility team that built tools to track shipments, to the Flexport.org team that used our data to calculate carbon offsets.
I led the Mobile Engineering division at Tableau for 5 years, and oversaw the growth of the user base from ~8000 WAU to 40000+ WAU.
My org owned the entire mobile strategy. This included multiple mobile apps on iOS and Android and browser experiences on touch-enabled devices.
Under my leadership, my org pioneered the adoption of several modern product development strategies at Tableau, such as A/B experimentation and using customer data to influence the product roadmap.
