KidPass is a new way for parents to discover and book amazing children's activities. Get access to exclusive events, classes, camps, museums, and more. Unlock a new world of experiences.

• One of the original founders and employees of KidPass. A startup which also was a member of the Y-Combinatory 2017 class.
• I helped architected the original billing and e-commerce system along with the CTO.
• E-Commerce system was implemented as an SOA that is usable by both our web client and mobile clients. We used Laravel to build our backend. I also helped upgrade us from Laravel 5 to Laravel 7.
• Implemented an isomorphic React app with re-usable components for our different clients and contexts ( Customer, Vendors, and Admins ).
• The application and business saw exponential growth to thousands of users and thousands of vendors. Expanding from NYC to over 4 major US cities.
• Being a startup, I also wore many hats learning about marketing, may ways to define churn rates, and creating business dashboards to fast feed back looks to make better business decisions.

• As Director of Engineering at 2U, I manage the Campus Content group, which is responsible for managing the authoring tools and data for a course, publishing the course, creating a “Course Player” in which to consume a course, and also managing different versions of a course ( MBA Fall, MBA Spring, etc. ).

Meredith reaches consumers where they are across multiple platforms, including digital, video, print, and broadcast television.Engaging 95 percent of American women across every stage and every day of their lives, Meredith Corporation's National Media Group is home to 40+ iconic brands, including PEOPLE, Better Homes & Gardens, Allrecipes, Southern Living, REAL SIMPLE and Magnolia Journal. The company provides trusted content and experiences that resonate with a massive, highly receptive audience, reaching consumers where they are across digital, magazines, social platforms, video, audio and connected home assistants. Meredith's powerful brands have enabled the company to become the No. 2 licensor globally, including more than 3,500 SKUs of branded products at Walmart. Meredith's businesses also include leading affinity marketer Synapse, award-winning creative content studio Foundry and the Meredith Data Studio.Meredith’s Local Media Group includes 17 television stations reaching 11 percent of U.S. households. Meredith’s portfolio is concentrated in large, fast-growing markets, with seven stations in the nation’s Top 25 markets—including Atlanta, Phoenix, St. Louis and Portland—and 13 in the Top 50. Meredith’s stations produce more than 700 hours of local news and entertainment content each week and operate leading local digital destinations. Meredith also owns MNI Targeted Media, which delivers targeted advertising solutions to more than 1,200 clients on a local, regional or national level.

• As Associate Director at Meredith I helped to manage the Entertainment Group in this challenging time of the digital evolution of publishing. The Entertainment Group consists of Entertainment Weekly (EW), People En Espanol, Essence, Real Simple, INStyle, HelloGiggles, and People.com, one of the largest websites in the world with around 600 million+ views a month.
• I lead the team through 2 different migrations; one being a general systems migration, and the second splitting the system into a headless backend with micro-services, using a multitude of languages: primarily PHP (Drupal/Wordpress/Custom Scripts) and NodeJS/ReactJS sprinkled with Docker+Kubernetes, and AWS technologies. All migrations were helped along with a foundation of Unit Testing and Selenium testing.
• I have always been attracted to the more difficult problems and specifically system integrations. It probably explains my seemingly random array of programming knowledge. I have done many things in the engineering role from e-commerce and ERP systems to large publishing and high-traffic sites. I enjoy getting to a complete solution. I have learned in my 15+ years of experience that a true "complete solution" involves not only a technical response, but process, QA, and many other facets are involved in getting there.
• At Meredith I stay true to the "complete solution" as I have in previous positions by understanding other technology vectors in the business such as ad-tech ( VAST tags, Google Publisher Tags/DFP, and ad strategies such as road-blocks ) and grasping a handle on video (OTT, Facebook Live, et al ).
