In 2015, at Revelator Coffee, I pioneered a progressive Parental Leave Policy that not only set industry benchmarks but also showcased our commitment to inclusive support for all parents. This avant-garde policy granted equal leave to both parents, irrespective of gender, and extended this benefit to those embracing parenthood through fostering and adoption. I introduced 'WAFO' (Working Away From Home), a term and concept I devised to facilitate a gradual transition back to work for new parents. This forward-thinking approach, especially unprecedented in the hospitality sector, underscored our leadership in employee welfare and positioned us at the forefront of industry innovation.
