Ideal fractional startup partners have at least achieved product market fit, impressive demonstrable traction in a space where I'm conversational if not fluent, and/or at least one marquee VC or angel investor. I excel at bridging the talents of technically oriented founders / org leaders and the market-facing functions of the business and have done this repeatedly throughout my career at the zero-to-one, initial traction, initial scale stage, and beyond.

My approach:

Kickoff with a 30-day discovery sprint in which I get to know the team, the company, the product(s), and the operational challenges at hand. At the end of the sprint, I present a document that outlines my thoughts and opinions on the status quo, and what I can do to help.

We then speak candidly about whether I'm the right person to lead any critical initiatives we've identified and proceed from there. I can be onsite part-time during this period as appropriate. We agree on a flat fee for this initial 30-day discovery sprint, and then based on our impressions of how much additional time is needed, we negotiate a monthly rate for the duration of the engagement.

If there is a clear fit at any time during the engagement, I am open to pivoting to full-time, fully loaded executive leadership roles.

Define, hire, and manage a lean, agile in-house marketing team
Lead construction of technical, automated outbound campaigns using Apify, Make/n8n, Clay, OpenAI

Fractional CRO:

Analyze all existing revenue-generating functions and optimize for accurate pipeline forecasting and "true north" metrics: LTV, CAC, ACV, churn, marketing spend
Take over leadership of lagging or underperforming functions and manage accordingly
Augment sales organization with BD initiatives, Rolodex customer introductions
