Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.

## Ecommerce Manager (Contract 4-5 Months)

**Title:** Ecommerce Manager (Contract 4-5 months)

**Job Level & Type:** Individual Contributor

**Reports to:** VP of Merchandising

**Employment Type:** Full-time contract, 4–5 months

### Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Ecommerce Manager to support our digital business during a maternity leave coverage period. This is a full-time, 4–5 month contract role reporting to the VP of Merchandising.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our ecommerce operations, including site merchandising, product setup, customer experience, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

### Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- **Ecommerce Operations & Site Management**
  - Own day-to-day management of the ecommerce site, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and timely updates
  - Monitor order flow and ensure timely fulfillment in partnership with the 3PL
  - Manage Shopify backend, including users, locations, metafields, and metaobjects
  - Maintain and troubleshoot product availability, inventory flow, and site issues

- **Product Merchandising & Content**
  - Build and maintain product detail pages (PDPs), including product titles, descriptions, images, related products, and SEO/meta information
  - Ensure all PDPs are accurate, complete, and optimized for conversion
  - Partner cross-functionally to manage out-of-stock (OOS) products and end-of-life (EOL) processes

- **Site Merchandising**
  - Create and manage category pages and collections across site and POS
  - Maintain site navigation and category structure
  - Update homepage content, including hero banners and new arrivals
  - Set up and manage promotional campaigns and discount codes

- **Customer Experience & Service**
  - Oversee customer service operations and support escalation management
  - Manage returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries as needed
  - Partner with 3PL to resolve damaged or defective returns
  - Escalate product-related issues to the product team

- **Analytics & Reporting**
  - Track and analyze site performance metrics (traffic, conversion, CTR, etc.)
  - Contribute to weekly reporting and provide insights and recommendations

- **Omnichannel & Platform Management**
  - Maintain and update Point of Sale (POS) systems and product grids
  - Manage TikTok Shop, ensuring product accuracy and resolving issues
  - Support affiliate and sample request management

- **Key Initiatives**
  - Support major promotional moments, including Black Friday/Cyber Monday and holiday campaigns
  - Ensure accurate communication of holiday shipping timelines on-site

### Required Skills & Abilities

- Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices, UX, and conversion optimization
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

### Required Experience

- 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, or digital operations
- Hands-on experience with Shopify (required)
- Experience working with 3PLs and order management processes

### Preferred Experience

- Experience with TikTok Shop or social commerce platforms
- Experience managing customer service platforms (e.g., Gorgias, Zendesk)
- Background in DTC or retail brands
