**Overview:**

The hiring company is seeking a fractional CIO to assist with the transition and hiring of a new leader within their organization. This is a temporary position designed to provide strategic oversight and support during a critical period of organizational change. The role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of IT functions and aiding in assessments that will define the future structure and efficiency of the team.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide strategic oversight and assist with the re-evaluation of current IT assessments and circumstances.
- Support the team in developing a forward-looking plan while managing transitional changes.
- Assist in interviewing and selecting a new CTO/CIO replacement.
- Evaluate the current team structure and offer recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are appropriate and that the right tools and personnel are in place.
- Review software expenditure and systems structure to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide high-level guidance during the onboarding process of the new CIO.
- Remain available for on-site meetings initially, transitioning to a more remote role thereafter.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, particularly in transition periods.
- Experience dealing with healthcare IT systems and an understanding of HIPAA compliance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to travel for initial on-site meetings.
- Strong background in cybersecurity oversight.
- Competence in software and systems expenditure analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide team improvements.
- Available to work approximately 15 hours per week for 3-6 months.
