The company is an AI-driven B2B SaaS platform aiming to modernize property maintenance by connecting property managers, management companies, vendors, and technicians through a centralized maintenance and workflow engine. We are currently seeking a Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide technical leadership, architecture oversight, and execution discipline as we scale. This role is pivotal as we are building the first field service management platform with a built-in, high-value job pipeline designed to drive adoption, transparency, and performance at scale.

**Responsibilities**

_Engineering Leadership & Execution_

*   Oversee and manage a distributed/offshore engineering team, ensuring accountability, velocity, and quality.
*   Establish clear development standards, sprint cadence, and delivery timelines.
*   Review architecture, pull requests, and deployment processes to ensure production-grade output.
*   Act as the final technical decision-maker on platform design and implementation.

_Architecture & Technology Oversight_

*   Own and guide the platform’s technical architecture across AWS infrastructure, Node.js backend services, and React-based front-end applications.
*   Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability for multi-tenant B2B SaaS usage.
*   Implement best practices around authentication, permissions, data integrity, and API design.

_Product Roadmap & Strategy_

*   Partner with the Founder/CEO to translate business goals into a clear technical roadmap.
*   Prioritize features across property manager, vendor, and technician experiences.
*   Balance speed-to-market with long-term scalability.
*   Advise on AI, automation, and analytics integrations as the platform evolves.
*   Help define MVP vs. post-launch feature sequencing.

_Best Practices & Governance_

*   Establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines, QA/testing protocols, documentation, and technical debt management.
*   Ensure security, compliance, and data protection.
*   Identify risks early and proactively recommend solutions.
*   Ensure the platform is investor-ready from a technical diligence standpoint.

**Qualifications**

*   10+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
*   Prior experience as a CTO, Fractional CTO, or Head of Engineering for a B2B SaaS company.
*   Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Node.js, and React.
*   Proven experience managing offshore or distributed engineering teams.
*   Deep understanding of B2B SaaS architecture, multi-tenant systems, and subscription models.
*   Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
*   Startup mindset: pragmatic, decisive, execution-focused.

**Nice-to-Have Experience**

*   Experience in PropTech, Field Service, Marketplace, or Workflow Automation platforms.
*   Familiarity with AI-driven features, analytics, or predictive maintenance systems.
*   Experience preparing platforms for scale, fundraising, and enterprise clients.
