## Description

Parallel, A Brand Agency, is seeking a seasoned Senior Account Executive to support brand strategy and client leadership on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for a highly experienced professional ready to lead strategy, shape client direction, and drive innovative brand solutions without a full-time commitment.

In this role, you'll lead the development of high-level brand and campaign strategies, provide thought leadership, and collaborate with Account Managers, Coordinators, and internal teams to support strategic direction. You'll work closely with clients as a trusted strategic advisor, translating feedback, stories, and business context into clear brand direction while identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives. The right candidate excels at big-picture thinking, is comfortable making strategic decisions in real time, and can confidently guide conversations without relying on rigid processes or excessive oversight.

This is a part-time contractor role, expected to average approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on client needs and project phases.

You'll work from our vibrant, newly renovated downtown office located in the former SA Current building. The space features two floors filled with natural light, a brand-new kitchen, updated bathrooms, a spacious conference room, and areas dedicated to both collaboration and quiet focus. While this is a part-time contractor role, regular in-office presence each week is expected to support collaboration, client work, and team alignment.

## Compensation

Hourly, contract-based compensation

$75–$95 per hour, based on experience

## Position Responsibilities Include

- Client Strategy & Insight Translation: Lead and participate in client calls, translating feedback, stories, and business context into clear strategic direction, campaign ideas, and defined deliverables.
- Campaign & Brand Strategy Development: Originate and shape strategies that align with client goals, audiences, and business objectives.
- Client Services & Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, guiding decision-making and helping clarify what is needed versus what is requested.
- Meeting Management & Presentation: Organize and lead client meetings, prepare agendas, and confidently present strategic recommendations and solutions.
- Account Leadership & Growth: Maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities to expand accounts, and support pitching and shaping new work as needed.
- Internal Collaboration & Alignment: Partner closely with creative, strategy, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from client insight to execution.
- Strategic Contribution: Provide thoughtful, informed input into brand strategy, campaign direction, and long-term planning initiatives.
- Process & Operational Awareness: Navigate a fast-paced, evolving agency environment while contributing to strategic clarity and forward momentum.

## Job Requirements

It's hard to define the exact experience necessary, but we are hoping to find someone that meets the requirements below—or someone who can prove that the experiences they've had beat what we have outlined.

- 15+ years of experience in strategy, account management, or brand marketing, preferably within a branding or creative agency.
- Strong expertise in brand strategy, positioning, and campaign development.
- Proven ability to lead strategic thinking and guide high-level client conversations.
- Experience working with complex organizations, ideally including higher education, nonprofit, or regional brands.
- Exceptional listening, synthesis, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously and deliver impact within a part-time, contract engagement.
