Job Description

What This Role Is

A hands-on execution mandate. You source investors, run outreach, manage the pipeline, and drive commitments to close. You report progress weekly and maintain full accountability for outcomes.

What This Role Is Not

  • An advisory seat with occasional intros
  • A junior investor relations function
  • A VC scout or deal-sourcing arrangement
  • A full-time position

We're hiring someone who closes rounds—not someone who reviews decks.

Scope of Work

You will own the following:

  • Investor targeting: Build and refine a qualified list of angels, micro-VCs, and select family offices aligned to B2B SaaS, AI, and sales automation.
  • Outbound execution: Run structured campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and warm channels with consistent follow-up cadence.
  • Pipeline management: Maintain a live CRM (Notion, Airtable, or HubSpot), track conversion metrics, and report weekly.
  • Closing: Move investors from first meeting to soft commit to signed SAFE or note. Drive rolling closes with urgency and precision.

If you're not personally executing outreach and follow-ups, this role isn't the right fit.

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven track record closing pre-seed or seed rounds ($300K–$2M range)
  • Direct experience running investor outbound—not just supporting it
  • Comfortable with AI, SaaS, and B2B automation business models
  • Fluent in SAFEs, convertible notes, and early-stage deal mechanics
  • Strong communicator who can represent a technical founding team with credibility

Ideal backgrounds: Founders who've raised, ex-VC associates turned operators, or execution-focused fractional CFOs and fundraising leads.

Terms

  • Engagement: Fractional, 3–6 months, outcome-driven
  • Compensation: Monthly retainer + success fee tied to capital closed +
    substantial equity stake
