Job Description

The company builds an OS for agentic AI that models policies, workflows, and operational logic into an AI Data Model so agents reason, not just respond. The Field CTO will be the organization's primary technical authority in customer-facing engagements, driving technical sales outcomes, running rapid proof-of-value pilots, and building a high-performing Sales Engineering organization to accelerate enterprise GenAI deployments and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority across the sales pipeline for strategic enterprise engagements
  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and customer presentations that translate technical capabilities into business value
  • Drive rapid, high-stakes pilots and proof-of-value engagements (several-day engagements) that demonstrate measurable outcomes and convert to closed deals
  • Build, hire, mentor, and lead a Sales Engineering team; establish scalable processes and best practices for technical sales
  • Partner closely with account executives, sales leadership, and the CTO to win deals and influence sales strategy
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to feed market and customer insights into the roadmap and product direction
  • Create reusable technical assets, demo environments, and solution templates to accelerate sales cycles
  • Represent the organization at select conferences and in customer-facing content while maintaining deep expertise in AI/GenAI and modern data platform ecosystems

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years combining technical leadership with customer-facing roles in enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Former CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technical executive with proven experience engaging enterprise customers and C-level stakeholders
  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, AI/ML (GenAI) technologies, and major cloud and data platform environments
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling technical teams in high-growth environments
  • History of influencing revenue through technical leadership and driving pilot-to-deal conversion
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Founder or early employee experience strongly preferred
