Fractional Supply Chain & Inventory Manager
Job Description
Overview
The company is a founder-led consumer goods e-commerce business in the wellness category. The organization is experienced in digital marketing and is now focused on professionalizing its supply chain and inventory operations. This is a fractional, part-time (~8–12 hours/week) long-term engagement starting in the coming weeks. The role will own end-to-end supply chain operations and work closely with an internal team member, with freedom to recommend and implement tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Own and professionalize end-to-end supply chain and inventory management
- Inventory forecasting and demand planning across ~20–30 SKUs
- Purchase order management and product procurement
- Supplier relationship management with several international suppliers
- Make ocean vs. air freight decisions and optimize transportation
- Plan and schedule product production, including multi-step international manufacturing flows
- Manage and optimize retail inventory and distribution
- Define, track, and report inventory KPIs
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement procurement/supply chain tools to replace manual processes (currently messaging apps and spreadsheets)
- Work hands-on with the internal team to implement process improvements and tooling
Qualifications
- Prior experience managing supply chain and inventory for a CPG or e-commerce brand
- Comfortable working with international supplier networks and complex manufacturing flows
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented, able to assess current state and quickly add structure
- Mid-level seniority (not entry-level, not C-suite); able to operate autonomously in a fractional role
- Experience recommending and implementing supply chain or procurement software/tools (preferred)
- Ability to start in the coming weeks and hit the ground running in an urgent inventory situation
