Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Paid Media Focus (1099 Contractor)
Location: United States (Remote)
Engagement Type: 1099 Contractor
Hours: 10 hours per month
Rate: $100/hour
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to provide high-level strategic guidance and advisory support across client accounts and internal initiatives. This is a part-time consulting/advisory role ideal for a seasoned marketing leader who thrives in an agency environment and can contribute both strategically and client-facing when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
- Advise on campaign structure, budget allocation, audience targeting, and scaling strategies
- Partner with internal teams to refine performance marketing frameworks and processes
- Participate in select client meetings and strategic reviews as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve ROAS, CAC efficiency, and overall funnel performance
- Guide testing strategies, attribution models, and reporting improvements
- Offer mentorship and strategic direction to internal team members
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with deep expertise in paid media strategy
- Demonstrated success overseeing multi-channel paid campaigns (Google, Meta, LinkedIn)
- Prior experience in a digital marketing agency strongly preferred
- Strong grasp of analytics, attribution, and performance optimization
- Ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication skills with comfort in client-facing interactions
- Experience in a fractional, advisory, or consulting role is a plus

- Availability for occasional client calls and internal strategy sessions
Pay: $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 3.0 per week
