I’m a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience leading brand and product marketing teams for high-growth companies such as Medium, Airbnb, Google, Foursquare, MTV, Daily Harvest, and more.I’m creatively-driven with expertise in developing brand strategy, honing customer segmentation and positioning, launching new products, and acquiring (and keeping) customers.

Collaborative and scrappy, I’m a hands-on leader who thrives in cross-functional environments. I’m also a certified yoga instructor, baking enthusiast, writer and avid adventurer. You can find me in Brooklyn with my husband, two daughters, and a grumpy old cat.

I have an existential crisis whenever someone asks, Who am I? I'm, I'm kidding. I'm Ashley Simon, and at this point I'm a pretty seasoned marketing leader, which just means I'm old and have a lot of experience. I have a little over 15 years experience in sort of all areas of marketing though I would say, I sort of lean more into brand and product marketing. I've worked across a broad range of companies. I've worked at large public companies like MTV and Airbnb, and I've also worked with companies at the seed stage, pre-launch, like, Daily Harvest. So I have a really broad range in terms of the size and stage of company that I've worked at and I've mostly worked in consumer facing companies. In terms of how my work kind of shows up in the world, I find that I work with clients on sort of a couple of of distinct buckets. One is bringing a new product for service or offering to market. So go to market strategy, which includes, a lot of brand work as well, positioning and messaging. The second piece is helping an early stage company build out their marketing function. Who should you hire? When? What skill sets are you looking at based on the size? What's your growth plan? And then the third piece is working with, usually the CEO or founder, potentially CMO, if it's a larger company, on a specific strategic project where they really want, someone to focus on it and they want an outside point of view. So those are the most wide ranging of the projects where it's like, Hey, we don't really know what to do, if anything, with the metaverse, and we just want, like, can you come in and think about that and, and own that and come back with recommendation. So those are the sort of, I put that in like a third bucket of a pinata like, I don't know any interesting question. I'm here to help. But that's, that's more or less me and the types of work that, I've done and I'm doing right now.
