One of the more underrated activities that can truly create a steady flow of pipeline is Lead Gen through conferences and speaking engagements. I collaborated with the Field Marketing teams to create a Tiered approach for our conference attendance. Higher Ed has complex buying cycles that takes months to close. I sourced, purchased and implemented a Digital tool that could accelerate top of the funnel sales for the organization so we could close deals faster. This resulted in reducing the sales cycle by 30% for certain deals due to focused digital assets that were deployed at the front end of the cycle. This also helped reduce our operating expenses by 30% since we could target resources for middle of the funnel activities and speed up qualification.
