## **Senior Cloud Engineer - Fixed Term Contract**

**Position Overview**

Join the Pepperstone IT team as a technical expert in cloud engineering, owning the design, development and maintenance of our cloud-based production systems and services. You'll provide advice, guidance and mentorship to engineers across the business, championing best practice and driving the delivery of highly scalable, efficient cloud solutions. Working closely with the Cloud Engineering Team Lead as you'll play a key role in the continued success of the function.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Effectively deliver on requirements, ensuring the agreed outcomes are achieved within determined timeframes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and maintain cloud solutions that are resilient, scalable and secure
- Contribute to the design and management of cloud infrastructures through CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Advocate for and implement best practices for DevOps, Continuous Delivery, including automated testing (BDD, TDD), build and deployment pipelines and observability
- Develop automation strategies to monitor and adjust performant cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain data security processes to ensure networks, data stores, and applications remain secure
- Assist with technical problem solving and provide technical guidance to other engineers and team across the organisation
- Mentor junior engineers and train them on best practice, cloud technologies, software architecture and tools
- Act as a point of escalation during incidents, helping to resolve issues and risks
- Stay up to date with cloud industry trends, technologies and market changes

**Required Qualifications & Experience**

- Extensive experience with AWS Lattice or Private Link
- Bachelor degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, other related certification or equivalent on-the-job experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a cloud, platform or devops role
- Proven ability to manage and drive change in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Extensive experience in designing and managing cloud networks, architectures, applications, and services on AWS (Lattice, Private Link, Serverless, Events)
- Expertise in DevOps culture and CI/CD practices
- In-depth knowledge of automation, orchestration, container and serverless technologies (Terraform, Github Actions)
- Experience in incident and issue management
- At least 1-2 years experience in a programming language (Javascript, Python, Golang)
- Understanding of site reliability engineering, observability data types (logs, metrics and tracing) and experience with related tooling

**Work Arrangement & Compensation**

- Hybrid role based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
- Fixed term contract (6 months)

## The Role

As we continue to grow our presence across Australia, we're looking for a bilingual Marketing Specialist (English & Mandarin) to help us engage both mainstream Australian audiences and Australia's vibrant Chinese-speaking communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing marketing team where you'll have the freedom to bring ideas to life, influence campaigns that drive real business outcomes and help shape the future of marketing for one of the most recognised brands in online trading.

Working closely with our Senior Marketing Manager, Australia, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering marketing initiatives that grow brand awareness, client acquisition and engagement across the Australian market.

### Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across brand, acquisition and retention
- Create and localise marketing activity for both English and Chinese-speaking audiences
- Drive engagement across channels including WeChat, Xiaohongshu (Red) and other Chinese-language platforms
- Partner with global teams across CRM, Brand, Content, Product and Sales to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and growth
- Translate insights, trends and competitor activity into actionable marketing initiatives
- Work closely with external agencies and partners to execute high-quality campaigns
- Support events, client engagement initiatives and brand activations across the Australian market
- Help bring the Pepperstone brand to life for both existing and prospective clients

### About You

We're looking for someone who's equal parts creative, commercial and culturally connected.

- Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
- Around 5+ years of marketing experience within a fast-paced B2C environment
- Experience developing and executing digital marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of Chinese-language marketing channels and platforms
- Cultural awareness and understanding of Australia's Chinese-speaking communities
- Confidence working with data and campaign insights to inform decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams and regions
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a passion for delivering results
- Experience within financial services, fintech, trading, forex or other regulated industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
