Fractional Director of Marketing and Growth

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving revenue and brand growth across Wholesale, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, and Amazon. This individual will operate at every altitude of the business — setting strategy and revenue targets at the 30,000 ft level, managing team and agency performance in the middle, and rolling up their sleeves to execute at the 3 ft level when needed. The ideal candidate is a builder and a doer: someone who can set the vision for a channel one moment and be in the weeds fixing a listing, editing a campaign, or coaching their team the next. They actively use AI to improve efficiency across functions — automating manual work, accelerating/improving insights and decisions, and scaling a lean team's output. This role works cross-functionally with Creative, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment across all revenue channels.

### Responsibilities

**Wholesale Sales (Boutique, Key Account, Corporate Gifting)**

*   Own overall wholesale strategy and revenue targets across Boutique, Key Account, and Corporate Gifting channels.
*   Lead, coach, and hold accountable the wholesale sales team, setting quotas and driving consistent quarter-over-quarter growth.
*   Personally engage with top-tier and strategic accounts where needed, stepping in to close deals, resolve escalations, or build key relationships alongside the team.
*   Identify and prioritize new boutique, key account, and corporate gifting opportunities to expand distribution.
*   Partner with Operations and Finance on forecasting, margin management, and order fulfillment to support wholesale growth.
*   Build and refine sales processes, reporting, and incentive structures to scale the wholesale function.

**eCommerce**

*   Lead the eCommerce division end-to-end, owning revenue plans, merchandising strategy, and site performance.
*   Direct site merchandising, UX/UI, and onsite promotions to ensure a best-in-class, on-brand shopping experience.
*   Own pricing strategy and promotional calendar, ensuring campaigns and offers ladder up to revenue goals.
*   Get hands-on in the platform when needed — executing merchandising updates, QA'ing the site, or troubleshooting issues directly.
*   Oversee the owner of customer care, ensuring service standards, response times, and customer satisfaction support the brand experience.
*   Monitor site KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate) and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.

**Digital Marketing**

*   Oversee the digital marketing agency relationship, setting strategy, KPIs, and budget across all paid and organic tactics.
*   Direct paid search, paid social, organic social, email/SMS, and other performance channels to ensure they ladder up to revenue and growth targets.
*   Dive into campaign-level detail as needed — reviewing creative, auditing targeting, or troubleshooting underperformance directly with the agency.
*   Own the digital marketing budget, ensuring efficient spend and reporting against ROAS, CAC, and other core KPIs.
*   Set the digital marketing calendar and messaging with eCommerce merchandising, wholesale initiatives, and broader brand priorities.
*   Champion a test-and-learn culture across creative, audience, and landing page optimization.

**Amazon**

*   Lead the Amazon agency relationship, setting strategy and holding the agency accountable to growth and profitability targets.
*   Oversee product catalogue management, ensuring listings are accurate, optimized, and consistent with brand standards.
*   Manage review strategy and reputation health, proactively addressing issues that impact conversion and brand trust.
*   Get into the details when needed — reviewing listing copy, imagery, and A+ content directly to ensure quality.
*   Monitor Amazon sales, advertising, and inventory performance, flagging risks and opportunities to the broader team.
*   Ensure Amazon pricing and promotions stay aligned with overall brand and channel strategy.

### Requirements

**Experience**

*   Proven track record leading multi-channel revenue growth across wholesale, eCommerce, digital marketing, and Amazon.
*   Experience directly managing a sales and/or marketing team, with a track record of coaching people to hit targets.
*   Experience managing external agencies or vendors, including digital marketing and Amazon agencies.
*   Comfortable operating in a fractional or part-time capacity while delivering full-time-caliber impact and accountability.
*   Ability to provide direction on creative as it relates to packaging, campaign, and onsite executions.
*   Demonstrated ability to move fluidly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.

**Qualifications**

*   Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
*   Minimum of 7-10 years of experience across eCommerce, digital marketing, wholesale, Amazon, including leadership experience.
*   Fluent in eCommerce, marketing, and project management tools; Shopify, Google Analytics, Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, and project management platforms (e.g., Asana).
*   Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into revenue-driving recommendations.
*   Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and the executive suite.
*   Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple channels and priorities simultaneously.
*   Must have the ability to work beyond standard hours for key promotional moments and peak retail periods.
