Curriculum Content Production & Quality Support Contractor (ELA)

Job Type

  • Contract
  • 10 - 20 hours per week, with some flexibility week to week
  • Remote position

Compensation

  • $60 – $85 / hour, depending on prior experience

Role Overview

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. The contractor will work under the guidance of the Director, ELA Curriculum to translate scope and sequence decisions, standards-aligned frameworks, and instructional direction into clear, rigorous, and usable draft materials designed for real classroom implementation.

This role does not set instructional strategy. It supports drafting, sequencing, revision, and quality review to ensure materials are accurate, coherent, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

This person must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Support development and refinement of ELA instructional materials and curriculum documents aligned to an established scope and sequence
  • Translate director-level guidance into draft-ready units and supporting materials
  • Support alignment to ELA standards, coherence across units, and instructional clarity
  • Assist with lesson-embedded ELA assessments and differentiation guidance
  • Conduct quality reviews of instructional materials for accuracy, rigor, consistency, and usability
  • Incorporate feedback across multiple revision cycles
  • Support formatting, version control, and documentation readiness

Requirements

  • Experience supporting ELA curriculum development or instructional materials production
  • Familiarity with K–12 ELA standards and literacy best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort working from established direction rather than setting strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
  • Experience in K–12 education, education nonprofits, or district or state-facing work is a plus

Location and Travel

Remote position. Travel will be required based on client needs.
