Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide expert financial leadership on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence corporate strategy, optimize financial performance, and support sustainable growth across diverse projects.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee corporate accounting functions, including financial statement analysis and interpretation in accordance with GAAP and IAS standards.
  • Manage risk assessment procedures, including SOX compliance and risk analysis initiatives.
  • Supervise treasury management activities such as cash flow optimization, revenue management, and expense control.
  • Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence, valuation analysis, and negotiation assistance.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for executive leadership, ensuring clarity in financial report writing and interpretation.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting compliance across all relevant jurisdictions and industry standards.
  • Lead financial modeling efforts to support strategic planning, business development, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee cost management strategies including cost control measures and expense management.
  • Manage finance teams or external consultants to ensure high-quality financial operations.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in accounting and finance roles with a proven track record in strategic management at senior leadership levels.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, IAS, ASC 606 standards, COSO framework, and industry-specific financial regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance, risk management, and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Strong background in corporate finance activities such as revenue cycle management, budgeting, forecasting analysis, and fiscal management.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and financial software tools for financial modeling and analysis purposes.
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions, fundraising for business development, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and concepts accurately.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Pay: $81.38 - $89.16 per hour
  • Job type: Part-time
  • Work setting: Office, In-person
  • Work Location: Modesto, CA
