What You Will Do

• Scout for and win outstanding talent across technical, commercial, and operational roles
• Partner closely with the founders to understand what they need and build creative sourcing strategies
• Define and maintain a hiring process that is fast, rigorous, and a great experience for candidates
• Build out interview frameworks, evaluation criteria, and structured feedback processes
• Manage relationships with other recruiters, job platforms, and talent networks relevant to deep tech and energy
• Support onboarding to ensure new hires ramp effectively and feel set up for success
• Advise on compensation benchmarking, offer structuring, and equity communication
• Help establish foundational HR policies, employment contracts, and compliance basics for a Munich-based startup
• Act as a trusted thought partner to the founding team on people strategy as the company grows

What We Are Looking For

• Significant experience in HR, talent acquisition, or people operations, at the senior or head-of-HR level
• Direct experience hiring for deep tech startups or similarly specialized technical companies
• Comfort operating independently and managing multiple priorities across an early-stage environment
• Strong recruiter instincts: knowing where to find non-obvious talent
• Practical knowledge of German employment law and HR compliance basics
• Experience in working with Personio
• Ability to build lightweight, scalable processes
