Interim Legal Counsel

Description

As (Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d), you will support the Legal Team and ensure the smooth operation of tasks within the department. You will actively contribute to new projects and develop new processes. You will not only be the first point of contact for our employees, but also provide confidential advice to our managers on all legal matters. This position is a two-year fixed -term contract due to parental leave cover . An extension of the fixed-term contract may be possible, depending on operational requirements . You can perform the position either fully remotely or in a hybrid model based in Karlsruhe.

• You will support the team in advising the company in the areas of compliance, legal & data protection.
• You are the first point of contact for employees and management in the company regarding legal questions.
• You take into account the current developments in jurisprudence and legislation and develop appropriate solutions for the requirements of our company.
• Your responsibilities also include contract negotiations and the collaboration with or management of external consultants, e.g. law firms and authorities.
• You support all teams at Chrono24 – from new business models to ongoing project implementation – and ensure legal compliance from the very beginning. 
• You report to the Head of Legal.

What makes you stand out

• You have completed two state law examinations or a comparable qualification.
• You already have several years of experience as a generalist corporate lawyer and in-depth knowledge of corporate and/or IT law.
• Ideally, you have experience from a technology or e-commerce company. 
• You are characterized by a healthy awareness of risk and a high level of social competence. 
• With your strong communication skills and friendly demeanor, you know how to convince others and you are committed to always completing your work with high precision.
• You have experience using AI tools in the legal field and have already built structures, skills or workflows for the productive use of AI in a legal department.
• Teamwork, organizational thinking and independent action are among your strengths.
• You are able to explain complex issues simply and concisely and have very good English skills.
