About the Role
--------------

SysCloud is looking for an experienced, hands-on **Fractional Event Marketing Lead** to help build a repeatable and measurable event marketing program.

Our team already manages the operational and logistical aspects of events. We are looking for someone who can focus specifically on the **marketing strategy surrounding the events we attend**—before, during, and after each event.

**We are looking for individual consultants and not marketing agencies. We prefer individuals who can derive results in the most cost effective manner.**

What You'll Work On
-------------------

### 1\. Assess Our Current Event Marketing Approach

Review our recent and upcoming events and understand:

*   Which events we currently attend
*   How we promote events today
*   How customers and prospects are invited
*   How leads are captured
*   How sales follows up after events
*   What content is created around events
*   How event effectiveness is currently measured

Identify the most important opportunities to improve the process.

### 2\. Build an Event Marketing Playbook

Create a repeatable **pre-event, during-event, and post-event marketing process**.

This may include:

**_Before the Event_**

*   Develop the event marketing plan and timeline
*   Define target customer and prospect audiences
*   Plan pre-event customer and prospect outreach
*   Develop email and campaign recommendations
*   Build social media promotion plans
*   Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities
*   Recommend booth messaging, offers, and supporting content
*   Identify opportunities for customer participation
*   Help create plans to book meetings in advance

**_During the Event_**

*   Recommend how leads and customer interactions should be captured
*   Help prioritize high-value prospects and accounts
*   Identify opportunities to create content at the event
*   Coordinate customer stories, interviews, or social content where appropriate
*   Help ensure event messaging is consistent with the campaign

**_After the Event_**

*   Build structured post-event nurture campaigns
*   Segment and prioritize event leads
*   Coordinate marketing-to-sales follow-up
*   Develop ways to repurpose event content
*   Create post-event social and content opportunities
*   Measure results and document learnings

### 3\. Improve Event Measurement

Help us establish a practical way to evaluate events.

Potential measures may include:

*   Meetings booked
*   Target accounts engaged
*   Qualified leads generated
*   Opportunities created
*   Pipeline generated or influenced
*   Customer meetings
*   Customer participation
*   Speaking opportunities
*   Content created
*   Cost relative to results

### 4\. Run Focused Event Marketing Experiments

Rather than changing everything at once, recommend a small number of improvements to test across upcoming events.

For each experiment:

*   Define the hypothesis
*   Identify the target audience
*   Define the activity
*   Establish the expected outcome
*   Measure the result
*   Document what worked and what did not

What Success Looks Like

During the initial engagement, we would expect this consultant to help us:

*   Establish a repeatable event marketing playbook
*   Improve pre-event promotion and meeting generation
*   Create a consistent post-event follow-up process
*   Improve coordination between marketing and sales around events
*   Establish meaningful event-marketing metrics
*   Run measurable event-marketing experiments
*   Document results and recommendations
*   Help us determine which event-marketing activities should be expanded

Who We're Looking For
---------------------

You may be a strong fit if you:

*   Have significant B2B event marketing experience
*   Have worked within SaaS, technology, cybersecurity, or a related field
*   Have experience developing event campaigns from pre-event through post-event follow-up
*   Know how to connect events to pipeline rather than treating events only as branding activities
*   Are comfortable working closely with Sales and Customer Success
*   Can move between strategy and hands-on execution
*   Understand email campaigns, social promotion, lead nurturing, and campaign measurement
*   Are highly organized and comfortable creating repeatable processes
*   Use data and experimentation to make decisions
*   Can clearly communicate what is working, what is not working, and what should happen next

Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, education/K-12 technology, cybersecurity, or IT would be valuable.

Engagement Model
----------------

**Engagement:** Part-time / Fractional

**Duration:** Initial 3–6 month engagement, with potential to expand based on results

**Location:** Remote / NJ (Red Bank Area)

This will initially be a fractional consulting engagement with consistent weekly availability.

We expect to agree on:

*   A defined number of hours each week
*   Specific upcoming events to focus on
*   Clear priorities and deliverables
*   Weekly or biweekly progress reviews
*   Measurable objectives
*   Documentation of results and recommendations

The initial engagement is expected to run approximately **3–6 months**.

If the experiment is successful, there may be an opportunity to expand the scope or continue the relationship.
