Compliance & Contracts Manager

Legal Compliance Services CompanyPosted Oct 5, 2026

Job Description

The organization — a certified IT asset disposition and secure data-destruction services provider (New Jersey; hybrid) — is hiring a Compliance & Contracts Manager reporting to the EVP of Operations & Product. This hands-on, builder role centralizes audit readiness, certification maintenance, and contract ownership to ensure the organization stays audit-ready, contractually protected, and able to win and retain enterprise clients during rapid growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own certification maintenance and audit readiness: schedule and prepare for audits, track corrective actions, maintain documentation and evidence, and evaluate additional certifications (for example, ISO standards).
  • Manage contracts across the client lifecycle: draft and review NDAs, MSAs, and amendments; execute and track agreements.
  • Lead compliance and contracts activities during new client onboarding: manage NDAs, customer requirement surveys, security/compliance questionnaires, and vendor risk assessments.
  • Build and maintain a standardized compliance document library (policies, SOPs, forms) and a compliance dashboard for leadership and board reporting.
  • Respond to enterprise client compliance and vendor-review requests (questionnaires, desk reviews, on-site audits), coordinate internal stakeholders, and drive matters to closure.
  • Track regulatory and contractual obligations with a periodic verification cadence to keep records current.
  • Support safety compliance: assist incident investigations, track corrective actions, and maintain emergency response plans and safety reporting.
  • Develop and deliver compliance-related training for new hires and ongoing staff development.
  • Partner with Operations and leadership to ensure compliance and contractual commitments are met in practice.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for certifying bodies and clients’ compliance/procurement contacts, managing those relationships proactively.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in compliance, contracts administration, or related governance/risk role.
  • Direct experience preparing for or managing third-party audits (preparation, hosting, or corrective-action management).
  • Experience managing contracts (NDAs, customer/vendor agreements) from drafting/review through execution and tracking.
  • Experience supporting client onboarding activities: security questionnaires, customer requirement surveys, vendor risk assessments.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce audit-ready policies, procedures, and evidence packets.
  • Self-directed, able to own complex workstreams and build processes where none exist; strong prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; comfortable representing the organization to clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, compliance, or related field preferred; relevant certification (for example, a certified compliance credential) a plus.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, records or data destruction, or a related regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with relevant certification frameworks for secure data handling and recycling.
  • Familiarity with operational safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience developing or delivering training programs.
