Interim Business Consultant
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Education and Training of the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) Global Tuberculosis Institute (GTBI) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, the Interim Business Consultant (Part time/Per Diem) will assume responsibility for the development, implementation, and completion of designated education and training programs and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of TB related continuing education products and programs.
- Develops a plan to provide TB education to various constituency groups, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Conducts needs assessments to assess gaps in knowledge and training formats.
- Establishes and maintains contact with appropriate agencies such as the federal government, state government, various foundations and stakeholders involved in courses and projects.
- Will maintain knowledge of current principles of continuing health education as they relate to course and product development.
- Arranges for and coordinates pilot testing of draft educational products.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree with three (3) years of experience in adult or continuing education for health professionals or the equivalent.
- Applicants with a Master's Degree are required to have two (2) additional years of related experience.
- Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be familiar with the health care delivery system, education of health care professionals and other constituency groups, and current issues within those fields.
- Must be fully conversant with all Accreditation Council for Continuing Education (ACCME) standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commitment to and experience with TB educational programs, especially in the international setting, in a medical school or academic health center setting is preferred.
Work Arrangement
- This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
- Position Status: Per Diem
- Working Hours: 19 hours per week
- Daily Work Shift: Day
- Terms of Appointment: Staff - 12 month
Compensation
- Minimum Salary: $15.92
- Mid Range Salary: $50.00
- Maximum Salary: $150.00
- The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.

- This position will be expected to work a flexible work schedule to interact with various constituency groups, including overseas partners, and be available at most continuing education activities under their direction.
