Fractional COO
Job Description
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, hands-on Fractional COO to own the operational engine of the business. This isn't a strategy-only role — you'll be in the details: managing fulfillment, vendor relationships, freight logistics, and keeping our team accountable.
You'll report directly to the founder and be a key part of the executive team as we scale.
What You'll Own
- Fulfillment operations — end-to-end order management and customer delivery
- US 3PL setup and Australia → US freight coordination (LCL sea freight)
- Vendor management and supplier relationships
- Sales team management and accountability (small team, high expectations)
- Hiring support for freelance and fractional roles
- Operational systems and process documentation
- Cross-functional coordination across finance, sales, marketing, and logistics
What We're Looking For
- Proven COO, VP Ops, or Director of Operations experience
- Comfortable operating fractionally across multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with product-based businesses, e-commerce, or physical goods logistics
- Hands-on, low-ego, high-output — you get things done, you don't manage things to death
- Strong communicator who can manage people directly and hold them accountable
- US-based strongly preferred; experience with cross-border operations is a bonus
- Startup or scale-up background — you know what "figure it out" means
