  Via is the global leader in TransitTech software (B2B), powering co-effective shared transport in urban areas around the world. $3.5bn valuation as of last raise in February 2023, backed by BlackRock, Janus Henderson, 83North and Exor.

  • Via acquired Citymapper in March 2023. Worked on the integration of the financial, business and organizational systems and reporting, and the definition of the combined GTM strategy.

  Citymapper is the multimodal transport app designed for urban areas (50m+ app users globally), focusing on public transport and sustainable modes of transport. Its technology is licensed to city operators to further accelerate the transition to net zero (B2C + B2B business models). $60m raised from Tier 1 investors including Benchmark and Index Ventures.

  • Part of the Executive Team reporting to the Founder/CEO, leading Finance, Analytics and Operations.
  • Fundraising, corporate development, board meetings and investor relations. Led multiple rounds of funding and the M&A process that resulted in the sale of the company to Via in March 2023.
  • Owner of the corporate model, including actuals, forecasts, and company-wide weekly/monthly/annual metrics.
  • Supported the launch of B2C and B2B business models, reaching $20m+ ARR: - B2C: advertising and affiliate models, app and mobility subscriptions. - B2B: SDKs, APIs and enterprise features licensed to tech companies, cities and public transport agencies.
  • Quarterly and annual budget made in collaboration with department leads, including AWS cost optimization with the Engineering Leads.
  • Built the company-wide compensation structure (salary + stock options), involved in quarterly reviews and new hires calibration. The team grew from 40 to 100 staff members (incl. 20 international contractors) during my tenure at the company.
  • Managed a team of 3 finance professionals: a controller and an assistant responsible for the financial accounts and audits, tax filings, monthly invoicing and payments, and an ex-investment banker focused on Strategic Finance. Worked closely with legal.
  • Joined Citymapper as the 2nd finance hire in October 2017, promoted to Head of Finance & Analytics in July 2019, and and to CFO in September 2020.
