Job Description

Role Overview

This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. CHAOS Industries is seeking three contract Technical Recruiters to identify and engage exceptional talent for their growing team. As a full-cycle Technical Recruiter, you will partner closely with the Recruiting Lead, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to build robust pipelines of technical talent aligned with the company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for candidates from initial screening to offer
  • Recruit across a variety of technical and business-critical functions, ranging from software and hardware engineering to manufacturing, operations, and G&A
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to thoroughly understand role requirements, team dynamics, and organizational goals
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to build talent pipelines, leveraging tactical research, referrals, networking events, and sourcing campaigns
  • Partner with Recruiting Coordinators, Recruiters, and Operations team members to ensure seamless and efficient operational workflows
  • Maintain and analyze pipeline metrics, providing regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Deeply understand each team's product, roadmap, and culture to effectively position roles
  • Build expertise in critical skills, target companies, and industry trends to guide recruiting strategies
  • Utilize data and analytics to influence hiring strategies, ensure data integrity, and track progress toward recruitment goals
  • Run point on external recruiting agencies being utilized for niche positions
  • Deliver an outstanding, proactive candidate experience throughout the process
  • Work 4-5 days onsite out of the Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California office

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical and/or engineering roles
  • Proven track record of closing candidates for complex or hard-to-fill technical positions
  • Experience partnering closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders on role scoping, pipeline strategy, and candidate evaluation
  • Strong understanding of engineering roles and technical skill sets such as software, hardware, systems, or manufacturing
  • Ability to manage multiple searches and candidate pipelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Clear and effective communicator with the ability to assess candidate motivations, alignment, and fit
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and improving recruiting metrics
  • High ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred), sourcing tools, and structured interview practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting within the defense industry or similarly-regulated technical environments such as aerospace, government, or advanced manufacturing
  • Background supporting early-stage or high-growth companies
  • Experience with the following tools: Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pave, Asana
  • Ability to operate independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Resilient and creative problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing hiring needs
  • Strong communication style that is direct, timely, and collaborative
  • High ownership mindset with a willingness to improve processes and contribute beyond defined responsibilities

Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Salary: $110-155k
  • 6-month contract position
  • 4-5 days a week in office (Hawthorne, CA)
  • Potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs
