Bilingual Key Account Manager
Job Description
Reporting to the National Account Manager, the Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing long-term strategies with assigned customers, ensuring alignment with Lindt Canada’s Marketing and Sales objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between the customer and cross-functional internal teams to deliver, and exceed, Lindt’s sales and profitability growth targets.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead point of contact for all matters related to assigned customers and/or segments, including Jean-Coutu.
- Achieve sales objectives outlined in the Corporate Business Plan by developing and executing banner-specific strategies aligned with Lindt Canada’s sales and marketing plans.
- Analyze and present monthly and annual performance plans to customers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, addressing service issues promptly in collaboration with supply chain, finance, and store operations teams.
- Partner with the Field Sales team to communicate banner initiatives, priorities, and business details, ensuring flawless execution of merchandising plans.
- Maximize account potential by leveraging marketing initiatives such as new product launches, P.O.S. materials, and category reviews.
- Manage and monitor trade spend through continuous analysis and review of business performance to optimize ROI.
- Provide clear and timely communication of monthly and annual forecasts to internal stakeholders.
- Deliver regular account reviews and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Offer candid feedback and recommendations on account/banner issues to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Work with Finance and Revenue Management to ensure trade spend delivers profitable ROI.
- Drive new business opportunities and influence growth through fact-based selling and decision-making for both everyday and seasonal segments.
- Analyze and present market data during category reviews using tools such as SAP, Nielsen, and customer-specific POS systems to identify growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- French bilingualism is required.
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, including at least 2 years in customer account management, specific to Jean-Coutu (preferred).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, reporting, and analytics.
- Proficiency in SAP BI for pulling sales history and forecasts for reporting and analysis.
- Experience with Trade Pro for inputting forecasts and managing associated spends.
- Familiarity with customer POS reporting systems for tracking and analyzing business performance.
- Proven experience developing regional/national customers (3–5 years), including relationship building with Category Managers, promotional planning, and business review presentations.
- Strong ability to assess business trends, review plans, and create accurate forecasts.
- Solid understanding of key financial fundamentals related to trade spend to ensure profitable results.
Rewards Package:
The standard hiring range for this role is $100,000-$125,000K CAD per annum. The final agreement upon salary may vary based on market location and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
