## Backend Developer

As a **Backend Developer,** you will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will also be responsible for integrating the frontend elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of frontend technologies is therefore necessary as well.

To ensure success as a Backend Developer, you should have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones. Top-class Backend Developers are able to develop clean and efficient code, contributing to the overall success of the team and product.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities:**

- Develop and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes.
- Implement security and data protection measures.

Google is in the middle of deprecating 3rd-party tracking cookies, one of the main ways consumers are identified, found and advertised-to online. As a result, an entire reengineering of browsers and the advertising platforms that run on them is occurring.
