Do I need a Go Fractional account?

You need an account to sign in, but you can create one on the sign-in screen when your assistant connects. You don’t need to be a member: applying for membership is one of the things your assistant can do.

Does it cost anything?

No. Connecting Go Fractional is free. Some assistants only allow custom connectors on paid plans, such as ChatGPT.

Which assistants work?

Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in. The steps above cover the most common ones; for others, add the server URL wherever your client lets you add a remote MCP server.

My assistant can’t connect. What should I check?

Make sure you finished signing in to Go Fractional in the browser window your assistant opened. If it still fails, remove the connector and add it again. On a managed work network, ask IT to allow app.gofractional.com.

What can my assistant see?

Only what your own account can see on Go Fractional: your profile, your membership status and application, or your company’s job posts and their applications. It cannot see other people’s accounts. When it refreshes your profile from your email or calendar, it reads those through your assistant’s own connectors, and nothing is saved to Go Fractional until you approve it.

Add this URL to your assistant as a custom connector (a remote MCP server), then sign in to Go Fractional when it asks.

Clients

Menu names change as these apps update. If one doesn’t match, look for the option to add a custom connector or remote MCP server.

Claude

In Claude (web, desktop or mobile), open Settings, then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector, name it Go Fractional and paste the server URL.
Select Connect and sign in to Go Fractional in the window that opens.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organization first; each person then connects their own account.

ChatGPT

Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create, name it Go Fractional, paste the server URL and pick OAuth.
Sign in to Go Fractional when ChatGPT asks.

Custom connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan, and business workspaces may need an admin to allow them.

Cursor shows Needs login next to gofractional. Select it and sign in.

Profile refresh skill

The server also serves a skill that walks your assistant through updating your profile from your email, calendar, documents and meeting notes. It asks which tools it may read, asks before naming a client, and shows you each change before saving it. Assistants that support MCP skills can load it from skill://gofractional/refresh-go-fractional-profile/SKILL.md; others call get_profile_refresh_guide.

Authentication

You sign in, not your assistant

You sign in to Go Fractional in your browser and approve the connection. Your assistant never sees your password, and anyone without an account creates one on that screen.

It acts with your access, nothing more

Your assistant can do only what you can do on Go Fractional. We ask it to confirm the details with you before it applies, books anything or changes your profile.

Disconnect any time

Remove the connector in your assistant’s settings and its access ends.
