Three Primary Data Sources

01 · Platform data
What the market is searching for — activity on the Go Fractional Job Board across 10 categories: Operations, Engineering, Marketing, People, Sales, Product, Finance, Design, Data, and Legal.
02 · Survey data
What practitioners are experiencing — responses from 213 fractional professionals collected in April 2026.
03 · Engagement data
Derived from the Go Fractional platform. The majority comes from profiles fractional talent have set up, plus Go Fractional's own engagements. Updated continuously as new engagements are tracked.

Several survey questions allowed respondents to select more than one answer — those percentages will not add up to 100%. The multiple-select questions covered how respondents find clients, the challenges they face, the topics they find most valuable, and the data they want highlighted.

How to Read the Report

Platform data and survey data answer different questions. Platform data reflects what companies are hiring for and signaling through demand. Survey data reflects how fractional professionals experience the market: pricing, client load, acquisition channels, career stages, and operating challenges.

Together, these sources help identify where demand exists, where talent is concentrated, where gaps are opening, and what support infrastructure the market still needs.
