Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with organizations seeking expert financial leadership on a flexible, part-time basis. In this role, you will leverage your extensive accounting and finance experience to guide companies through complex financial landscapes, ensuring compliance, fostering growth, and optimizing profitability. Your expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, risk management, and industry-specific regulations will empower organizations to make informed decisions and achieve their long-term objectives. Duties
- Provide high-level financial guidance by developing comprehensive financial projection models, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant standards.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission) frameworks, and industry-specific compliance mandates.
- Manage treasury functions such as cash flow analysis, risk assessment, and liquidity management to support sustainable growth.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and interpretation to inform strategic decision-making for profit & loss optimization.
- Lead risk analysis initiatives focusing on SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, risk management strategies, and internal controls implementation.
- Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence, valuation modeling, negotiation support, and integration planning.
- Facilitate fundraising efforts for business development by preparing compelling financial reports and engaging with potential investors or stakeholders.
- Supervise finance teams across multiple clients or projects, fostering leadership development and ensuring high-quality financial management practices.
- Develop financial reporting frameworks that enhance clarity, accuracy, and compliance while supporting strategic management initiatives.
Experience
- Proven track record in senior finance or CFO roles within diverse industries, demonstrating strong leadership in strategic management and fiscal oversight.
- Extensive experience with accounting systems and financial software tools used for complex analysis and reporting.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts including profit & loss management, cost control, expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue cycle management.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards; governmental accounting; and industry best practices for risk assessment and compliance.
- Demonstrated success in managing finance teams with supervisory responsibilities across multiple projects or organizations.
- Experience in business analysis related to market analysis, industry trends, and strategic planning to inform growth initiatives.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with expertise in corporate finance transactions such as mergers & acquisitions or fundraising campaigns.
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements accurately while providing actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards like ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and COSO internal controls framework is highly desirable.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
- Pay: $120,012.84 - $144,531.59 per year
