Fractional PR & Growth Marketer
Job Description
The organization produces small-batch, hand-finished specialty consumer gift products sold via a direct-to-consumer website, online marketplaces, and wholesale partners. We're a tiny, bootstrapped, founder-led team seeking a senior fractional growth marketer / PR lead to drive holiday gift guide placements and build repeatable customer acquisition channels that increase direct-to-consumer revenue and expand wholesale relationships. This role begins soon to target seasonal opportunities later this year and focuses on establishing measurable paid, organic, and social channels for a resource-constrained business.
Responsibilities
- Lead PR and media outreach to secure placements in holiday gift guides, gift roundups, and relevant editorial coverage
- Develop and execute a prioritized outreach calendar and pitch strategy tailored to seasonal deadlines
- Manage relationships with media, gift guide editors, influencers, and relevant partners
- Build and run paid acquisition campaigns (paid social, search, and prospecting/retargeting) aimed at increasing D2C sales and ROAS
- Create and optimize Pinterest strategy and creative to drive traffic and conversions
- Own SEO and content recommendations to improve organic discovery and merchandising for gift-oriented search
- Support and grow wholesale partnerships (identify opportunities, outreach, and pitch to retailers/curators)
- Implement tracking and measurement (UTMs, conversion funnels, KPIs) and report on performance against goals
- Work collaboratively and autonomously with the founder, providing clear priorities, templates, and turnkey execution given limited internal capacity
- Provide guidance on creative assets, product positioning, and promotional timing to maximize giftability and pressability
Qualifications
- Senior-level experience (CMO / Head of PR / Head of Growth or equivalent) with hands-on execution across PR, paid media, SEO, and social (Pinterest preferred)
- Proven track record securing editorial and gift guide placements for consumer brands, ideally in home goods, gifting, fashion, or beauty
- Demonstrated success growing e-commerce D2C revenue and managing measurable paid acquisition programs
- Experience initiating and scaling wholesale/retailer partnerships for small or early-stage consumer businesses
- Strong media relationships or demonstrable pitching success and excellent copywriting/pitch development skills
- Comfortable working with a one-person founder-led team; ability to prioritize, be scrappy, and deliver high-impact work with limited resources
- Data-driven mindset: experience with analytics, UTM tracking, conversion optimization, and clear KPI reporting
- Remote-friendly and available for a part-time/fractional engagement with flexibility to ramp quickly for seasonal deadlines
