About the Company
Larian Studios is a Belgian RPG developer built by and for passionate RPG players. The studio has developed a reputation for prioritising depth, player agency and long-term quality over rapid production cycles. The company's philosophy reached its commercial and critical peak with Baldur's Gate III in 2023, a landmark release that delivered hundreds of hours of narrative gameplay and generated $249M in pre-tax profit in 2024, cementing Larian's place among the industry's elite.
The studio has confirmed it is not developing Baldur's Gate 4 and has instead shifted resources toward the next evolution of its flagship fantasy series, Divinity. Post-launch support for Baldur's Gate III has continued with additional patches and quality-of-life improvements. The company recently announced at The Game Awards 2025 that there will be a new entry to the Divinity franchise, with early commentary suggesting the project will retain the studio's hallmark turn-based systems while pushing technical and narrative boundaries further.
Company Mission: To create world class video games.
