## OVERVIEW

Join our team as a Writer/Editor and Content Producer! We're looking for writers with a comprehensive and consistently up-to-date knowledge of the Walt Disney Company and its facets. Ideal candidates will be responsible for a variety of projects that will require strong writing and attention-to-detail. Work will include after-hours and weekend projects. In our business, stories can pop up at any time, and we have to be ready to react at a moment's notice.

We're learning something new every day, and we're looking for candidates who enjoy the type of work that includes problem-solving and encountering brand new concepts and situations daily. In the ever-evolving environment of online content, the rules change quickly; the successful candidate will not only keep up, but will be a trendsetter.

## PRIMARY TASKS

- Must be available 4+ hours evenings during the week (6-10PM ET) and 8+ hours each day on weekends (beginning at 8AM ET).
- The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, grammatical prowess, and editorial ability.
- Creating, editing, and publishing Disney-related online content, which could include quick news writing, high-level editorial thought pieces, viral marketing writing, guidebook writing, video script writing, and more.
- Must have a comprehensive and consistently up-to-date knowledge of Disney Theme Parks
- Providing any other support to ensure content meets Cambrick Yard's high standards of professionalism, factual consistency, authenticity, and reliability

## SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Strong attention to detail and project follow-through
- Ability to work well with team members and co-workers
- Thorough and expansive knowledge of Walt Disney World and Disneyland
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Experience with the Wordpress platform
- Excellent, entertaining writing ability. Funny/Humorous writing is a plus
- Multimedia skills; familiarity working with photo editing is a plus
- Experience with the Canva is a plus

## WORK ARRANGEMENT & COMPENSATION

This is a 30-40 hour per week position, working nights and weekends. Candidate may work remotely and will start as a 1099 Contractor in this position. Please indicate in your cover letter your 1099 Contractor hourly rate.

At Cambrick Yard, our strategy and planning team is made up of inventive, digitally-minded creators who understand nuances of journalistic and news reporting cornerstones while providing informative, useful, and fun narratives.

Ideal candidates will take content and run with it with basic initial guidance. We're looking for editors that are quick and efficient and thrive on fast-turnarounds. They should also like collaborating with a small team from time to time and do equally well with direction when given. We want outside-the-box thinkers with a good sense of humor who aren't afraid to get in Photoshop or After Effects and get their hands dirty (so to speak!) if the result is funny on-screen gags or simple animations

**PRIMARY TASKS**

- Creation of new assets and transitional elements in Photoshop or Illustrator
- Photo-manipulation for on-screen assets in Photoshop
- Simple After Effects or Premiere animations of assets from time to time
- Layered effects (possibly utilizing simple masks)
- Basic rotoscoping from time to time
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
- Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
- Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video
- Improve video and sound quality using various video software
- Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips, and other important aspects of the project
- Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos as specified

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

- Bachelor's degree in film editing or a related degree is required
- Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
- Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
- Creative experience in filmmaking and videography
- Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life
- Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music, and transitions
- Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
- Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
- Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products
