About EducationSuperHighway

EducationSuperHighway is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to close the nation's K-12 literacy gap. As a Scholarship Granting Organization, we provide literacy tutoring scholarships to first-grade students reading below grade level — funding 1:1 virtual tutoring grounded in the Science of Reading, delivered 15 minutes a day, so every child becomes a confident and fluent reader. We've solved a national education problem before. Founded in 2012, EducationSuperHighway closed the K-12 broadband gap, connecting 99.3% of America's public schools to high-speed internet and helping 5 million low-income households get online. We are now turning those connections into opportunity by closing the nation's literacy gap, one first grader at a time.
