The **Business Analyst** plays a pivotal dual role within the IT Delivery Team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions while championing agile principles and practices with the right balance with project management processes. This position is central to ensuring that business initiatives and IT projects are well-defined, efficiently managed, and successfully delivered, ultimately contributing to the strategic objectives of OES. You will leverage your strong analytical capabilities and facilitation skills to empower delivery teams and foster a collaborative, continuously improving environment.

## Key Responsibilities

- **Lead business analysis and requirements definition**, partnering with stakeholders to elicit, document, and translate functional and non‑functional requirements into high‑quality user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.

- **Shape and justify IT solutions and investment decisions** by developing business cases, collaborating with Tech Leads and architects on solution options, and supporting effort, cost, and timeline estimation.

- **Enable effective IT planning and demand management** by supporting IT roadmap development, prioritisation of initiatives, resource and financial planning, and the operationalisation of key IT governance and risk processes.

- **Lead and coach agile delivery teams** as a servant‑leader, fostering a high‑performing, self‑organising, and cross‑functional team culture aligned to agile values and practices.

- **Facilitate and optimise agile ceremonies and delivery execution**, removing impediments, protecting the team from disruption, and ensuring focus on delivering customer and business value.

- **Promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement** by enabling effective stakeholder communication and tracking, monitoring, and reporting team performance, metrics, and overall team health.

- **Ensure high‑quality, well‑governed delivery** by maintaining clear, testable requirements, partnering with QA to align test coverage to business needs, and managing accurate project documentation (user stories, process flows, and decision logs) across JIRA and Confluence.

## About You

- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role within an agile environment.

- Demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Facilitator for at least 3 years, preferably in an IT delivery context.

- Proven experience in translating business requirements to user stories and acceptance criteria.

- Experience working with cross-functional development teams.

- Experience with project management processes and methodologies.

- Hands on experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.

- Experience in contributing to effort and cost estimations for IT projects.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

- Required Certifications: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).

## The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to join OES in a part-time capacity, providing senior leadership and technical expertise to our payroll function. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on coaching, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement, working closely with Finance and People & Culture to ensure accurate and compliant payroll outcomes.

**This opportunity is for a 9 month Fixed Term contract working 2 days week.**

## Your New Role

- Act as the Payroll SME, providing guidance on complex payroll interpretations (Awards, EAs, super, tax, leave, etc.)
- Coach and mentor the Senior Payroll Officer and uplift team capability
- Review high-risk payroll transactions (terminations, redundancies, backpays, remediation)
- Partner with Finance and People & Culture to resolve complex payroll queries
- Strengthen payroll governance, controls, and audit readiness
- Drive process and system improvements, including automation opportunities
- Support payroll operations during peak periods and escalations

## Who we need

- Extensive end-to-end payroll experience, ideally at manager or head-of level
- Deep expertise in Australian payroll legislation, awards, PAYG and superannuation
- Strong coaching and mentoring capability
- Experience leading audits, governance and payroll improvements
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance and HR
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Access/Definitiv or similar)
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and discretion

## The Opportunity

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Manager to deliver on lead growth and enrolment outcomes across one of OES' high education partners. You will own and execute defined marketing initiatives, drive creative effectiveness, and optimise the acquisition journey from first touchpoint to enrolment. You'll collaborate daily with performance, creative, digital, and content specialists, making this the perfect role for a Marketing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery focused environment.

**Please note this is a maternity leave contract for 10 months, working 3 days a week**

## Key Responsibilities

- Own and deliver agreed marketing initiatives and projects across the full acquisition funnel to support lead and enrolment targets.
- Plan, manage, and execute marketing projects end‑to‑end, from creative brief development and stakeholder alignment through to launch and post‑campaign evaluation.
- Act as a liaison (alongside the Marketing Manager) between performance, creative, digital, content, and marketing automation teams to ensure smooth, aligned delivery.
- Lead creative uplift initiatives, including testing new formats, refining messaging, and enhancing creative performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to the student acquisition journey, such as lead magnets, landing page optimisation, and funnel enhancements.
- Develop clear, outcomes‑focused creative and media briefs informed by audience insights and performance goals.
- Coordinate internal teams and external agencies to deliver campaigns on time, within scope, and to a consistently high standard.
- Monitor campaign, creative, and funnel performance, translating insights into actionable optimisation recommendations.
- Conduct competitor, market, and audience research to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness and innovation.

## About You

- Experience across a range of marketing functions
- Understanding of customer journeys and the role of creative at each stage
- Experience working towards lead or sales targets, with an understanding of cost per lead/cost per acquisition metrics
- Exposure to paid media (Google, Facebook) and performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills and confidence reviewing creative and campaign results
- Knowledge of consumer psychology and customer acquisition principles
- Ability to prepare clear, strategic creative and media briefs
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects
