Fractional Head of Sales
Job Description
The Opportunity
Automation deals die in the weeks it takes to scope them. Fexel scopes them in a day with AI. We're bringing on a fractional Head of Sales who turns that speed into closed deals.
What You'll Do
In the first three months, you'll build the pipeline and define the roadmap to closing mid-market manufacturers, partnering with the Founder to scope and package deals. You'll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting through close. Core verticals may include but not be limited to: palletizing, warehouse/3PL automation, and lab automation.
Who You Are
You've sold automation or robotics into manufacturing environments — and you understand the difference between selling technology and selling outcomes on a factory floor. You don't need a slide deck to explain ROI to a plant manager. You've worked the SI channel and know how to make partners productive, not just signed.
The specifics:
You know the mid-market manufacturing world. You've sold to companies with 50–500 employees, not just enterprise accounts. You understand the shorter cycle, the plant manager who's also the decision maker, the budget that needs to show ROI in months, not years.
You've sold through or alongside system integrators. You understand the channel — how SIs evaluate new products, how they sell to their customers, what makes a partnership actually work vs. just a logo on a slide.
You've been in automation, robotics, or adjacent industrial tech.
You've likely spent 7-10+ years building trust and a reputation in the industry and have a track record in B2B sales, but please still apply if what Fexel is solving excites you.
What We Offer
A front-row seat to building with a world-class venture-backed serial founder and team of startup operators.
Flexible arrangement - fractional with a path to full-time if it's a great fit for both sides.
Compensation will include a retainer, meaningful equity, and commission structure.
