Fractional Marketing Director (Fintech, B2B SaaS)

Job Description

Early-stage B2B SaaS company seeks a fractional marketing leader (marketing manager level) to build a marketing function from the ground up. This role is focused on driving measurable demand and converting pipeline into signed contracts, not just brand activity. Part-time, highly scrappy, execution-first profile preferred; remote with U.S. East Coast availability (New York state preferred). Expect around 5 hours/week (flexible) with occasional additional time around conferences or peak initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a zero-to-one marketing infrastructure that generates, tracks, and converts demand into signed contracts
  • Own day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns that feed sales pipeline and demonstrably move deals
  • Establish tracking and reporting in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) to measure marketing-sourced activity and conversions
  • Manage, coordinate, and hold external agencies accountable to deliverables and measurable outcomes
  • Work closely with sales to align messaging, lead qualification, nurturing, and handoff processes
  • Prioritize high-impact, low-budget tactics and iterate quickly based on performance data
  • Provide concise progress updates and recommendations to leadership; be available for regular business-hour meetings
  • Scale marketing activities and processes as the company grows; increase hours or scope as needed around key events

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally in early-stage (zero-to-one) environments
  • Track record of building marketing-driven pipeline that converts to signed contracts
  • Practical experience implementing and tracking leads in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Strong execution skills; comfortable owning tactical work and delivering results with limited resources
  • Experience managing agencies and external vendors to produce measurable outcomes
  • Comfortable working approximately 5 hours/week remotely with U.S. East Coast (New York state preferred) availability for business-hour meetings; flexible to add hours around events
  • Excellent collaboration skills with sales and product teams; data-driven and ROI-focused approach
