Role Overview
As Financial Transactions Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions focusing on timely and efficient processing, collections and payment of customer and supplier invoices. You will play a key role in ensuring that all procedures are completed in line with the developing Internal Control Frameworks, alongside taking ownership of month end tasks including journal approvals, preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
Work Arrangement
Hotel Chocolat has adopted hybrid working. You'll join on site for three days a week, and for the other two days you can work from wherever you like. The on-site location for this role is Mint House in Royston, Hertfordshire, just off the A505 and 10 minutes' walk from Royston train station, with direct rail links to London King's Cross. Flexible working patterns are supported, and the company is open to discussing options for part-time working or compressed hours.

Responsibilities
- Oversee & manage the AP & AR teams – ensuring accurate processing & reporting of transactions impacting bank accounts
- Management & review of Aged Creditors & Debtors
- Review of bank reconciliations
- Management & review of GRNI accounts & Invoice pools
- Ensure all procedures are completed in line with the developing Internal Control Framework
- Ownership of month end tasks including team journal approvals, preparation and review of Balance sheet reconciliations
- Support with Annual Audit requirements
- Working with the Transactions & Cash Cycle Senior Manager to implement improvements to the Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes
- Develop capability of team, providing coaching, training & support
- Provide best practice training to the wider business on raising POs & understanding the Procure to Pay process
- Other ad-hoc tasks that fit the remit of the role
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Experienced finance professional managing busy Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable teams
- Experience working in high transaction environments across multiple legal entities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong team management skills
Desirable
- Retail or Manufacturing experience
- Experience of D365 Finance & Operations
