Launched $1B/yr loan platform

streaminnovations.com

Power Home Remodeling created a sister company Stream Innovations to displace a third party loan vendor. In less than four years, leveraging only two small scrum teams, I directed development of and launched their loan application, approval, and funding platform and scaled it's capabilities until it supported over 20+ territories nationally, 1000+ loan applications per week, and funding over $1B+ per year including support for loan resale to capital providers.

As this was initially an understaffed greenfield project, I also extended beyond my core role of product owner into technical writer, UX collaborator, manual tester, scrum master, and team mentor.

Launched Custom APM Product

Developed and launched a backlog management tool (similar to Jira) customized specifically for our organization (designed and built custom from the ground up). Led continued platform functionality expansion while migrating teams from third party platforms onto this new tool, eventually retiring usage those external tools and cutting vendor costs. Later trained additional departments across our backoffice organization to leverage this new platform in non-software settings.

Agile Transformation Leadership

Joined as the first dedicated Scrum Master to coach three product teams. Then hired and managed initial five Scrum Masters to build out core team. Further practice formation included:

  • Defined banding and career pathway tracks for scrum master positions.
  • Developed and standardized best practices as the company’s Agile Practice Lead
  • Created agile metrics standards and process for software delivery management
  • Mentored new Product Owners as that team expanded from two to five within a year
  • Provided training for departmental onboarding, including internal code academy, developer hires, and apprentice programs for internal scrum masters and product owners
