At Petco I led the technical team for the Insurance group. I architected and drove the implementation of features to streamline the back office, save customer service hundreds of hours, and drive 50% growth in paying customers year over year. The billing system I architected and led the implementation of helped automate previously manual accounting processes with our 3rd party insurance partner and provide full traceability of how a transaction was billed for and split among the participants. I was able to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders and teams to achieve positive outcomes for the business insurance line while staying within budget constraints.
At Munipal I am simultaneously running the business and building out the platform to pivot from a managed services model to a more scalable software-as-a-service model. This includes architecting and implementing a service oriented and event driven system with multiple 3rd party integrations. I have leveraged many AWS severless technologies such as Lambda, EventBridge, AppSync, StepFunctions, CloudFront, S3, DynamoDB, and more to implement a low maintenance and seamlessly scalable architecture. I have also fully automated continuous integration and continuous delivery to ensure automatic delivery of new features that are well tested to production.
