Job Description

Overview

The company is seeking a Fractional Head of Partnerships for an approximately six-month, remote engagement. The role will establish a U.S.-focused partnership program with e-commerce agencies and selected technology partners. Priorities include signing partners, validating lead generation through those relationships, and creating a repeatable program that can be handed off to a future full-time team member.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch a U.S. partner program for e-commerce agencies and selected technology partners, including partner tiers, commercial terms, benefits, and service expectations.
  • Identify, contact, and sign agency and other relevant e-commerce partners.
  • Test partner-driven lead generation by setting targets, running pilots, tracking pipeline and conversion metrics, and recommending whether to scale.
  • Develop partner onboarding, enablement, co-marketing, and joint-sales processes and templates for a future team member to manage.
  • Define partner contract terms, referral and commission models, and practical administrative processes in coordination with legal and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, product, and global colleagues to align the partnership approach with go-to-market plans and product positioning.
  • Organize virtual or in-person events and other partner initiatives as needed to recruit and activate partners.
  • Report progress, key metrics, and recommendations to company leadership, and prepare a transition plan for a future full-time hire.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of partnerships experience at e-commerce software companies or similar organizations.
  • Demonstrated success signing and activating e-commerce agencies and generating measurable leads through agency relationships.
  • Experience building a partner program from the ground up, including tiers, commercial terms, enablement, and partner success processes.
  • Strong network in the U.S. e-commerce agency ecosystem and a track record of prospecting and closing partnerships.
  • Ability to create straightforward, repeatable processes and hand them off to a more junior full-time team member.
  • Data-driven approach, including experience defining metrics, tracking partner-sourced pipeline, and assessing partnership returns.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working remotely and independently.
  • Preference for candidates with a background in partnerships or business development rather than operations alone.
