Reduced Legal & Regulatory Risk for a Telehealth Startup Using Trackers
After the company was named in a national article on the use of advertising trackers in telehealth, Gladden led the investigation and remediation to reduce regulatory and legal risk in collaboration with the C-Suite and business teams. Risk was reduced from high to moderate through a combination of tracker audits, policy development, implementation of technology to mask PHI, and implementation of a lean compliance review of the highest risk trackers. As a result, the business was able to continue with its preferred strategy in compliance with HIPAA.
