Job Description

Director, Sales & Marketing

Location: 219 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON M6K 1Y9, Canada
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

The Director of Sales & Marketing plays a Head Office role focused on building systems, processes, brand, and marketing infrastructure that empower sector leaders and consultants to succeed. Roughly 20% of your time will be spent leading Isaac-wide initiatives — building the sales playbook, improving the BD process, strengthening the brand, and driving marketing strategy. The other 80% will be spent as a fractional Director of Sales & Marketing to each sector, partnering directly with sector leaders to help them grow their business units.

This is a hands-on builder role balancing leadership and vision with execution — designing systems and processes to help rapidly grow the business while personally executing campaigns, tools, and improvements. You'll also lead and grow the Head Office Sales & Marketing team, a small but high-impact team that delivers campaigns, tools, analytics, and support across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and champion a forward-looking marketing vision and translate it into actionable strategies and measurable results
  • Strengthen Isaac's brand, positioning, and market visibility
  • Own and continuously improve the sales playbook, BD process, and enablement tools
  • Lead firmwide marketing initiatives: campaigns, thought leadership, content, and digital presence
  • Improve pipeline reporting and CRM discipline to drive consistency
  • Build, deliver, or facilitate impactful external sales training and capability programs for consultants and partners
  • Act as a fractional Director of Sales & Marketing to sector leaders — a trusted partner helping them grow their businesses
  • Support Leads in executing their go-to-market strategy, leaning in to help with pursuit planning and client development efforts
  • Customize sales and marketing best practices to fit sector-specific needs
  • Provide coaching, deal support, and insight to improve pipeline quality and conversion
  • Act as a constructive challenger — surfacing blockers, spotting systemic gaps, and ensuring sectors stay accountable for their growth
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Head Office Sales & Marketing team
  • Create a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability
  • Ensure the team delivers outcomes while supporting their career progression and engagement
  • Act as a champion for team development, aligning their goals with broader firm strategy

What Success Looks Like

  • Sector leaders see you as a trusted advisor who helps them win and grow
  • Brand and marketing presence create clear lift in business development
  • Sales process is more consistent, scalable, and effective across the firm
  • Consultants and partners feel more capable and confident in selling
  • Head Office Sales & Marketing team is thriving — high-performing, engaged, and growing in their careers
  • Business Development function is stronger and more transformative than when you arrived

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or BD
  • 8+ years of experience in professional services, ideally in a sales, marketing, sales enablement, or sales operations leadership capacity (ideally a mixture of them)
  • Experience collaborating with and enabling sellers, particularly sellers who may not come from a sales background
  • Strong understanding of how consulting or services firms go to market, from brand building to relationship-based sales
  • Experience across the customer journey — comfortable driving brand campaigns, building sales enablement materials, and leading retention initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in a scale-up environment where systems and processes are still evolving

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Thrives in a Player-Coach role, equally effective enabling your team and rolling up your sleeves to drive initiatives forward
  • Transformative mindset, not steady-state
  • Comfortable building, iterating, and scaling in a fast-growth environment
  • Balances consistency at the enterprise level with flexibility at the sector level
  • Outcome focused, with team growth and happiness as key outcomes
  • Doer at heart, energized by making things happen and getting into the details when needed
  • Thinks beyond the immediate and envisions long-term outcomes
  • Brings a scale-up mindset: bias to action, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package aligned with provincial pay transparency requirements
  • Final compensation set fairly and thoughtfully based on experience, expertise, and alignment with role responsibilities
  • 5 weeks of vacation for all employees
  • Comprehensive benefits package 100% covered by the company, including generous annual wellness allowances
  • Frequent company development and social events
  • Strong work-life balance — no working on weekends
